Encourage existing customers to refer their friends and spread the word about your business! Frederick makes it easy by tracking who has sent people your way and sending out rewards that you create for your promoters.
Customers that have had a recent visit will receive a message inviting them to join the referral program and you’ll also be given a URL that you can share in your emails, on your website, and on your social pages.

1. Create your New Customer Offer
Here is where you'll create the offer that will be sent to NEW customers that have been referred to you by your existing clients.
- Enable Referral Program: Flip the switch to "ON" to get started.
- New Customer Offer: Give your new customers a percentage off your services, a specific dollar amount off, or create a custom offer ( For example: Free deep conditioning treatment with your first hair cut! ).
- See a Sample: Take a look at what your New Customer Offer will look like and enter your email address in the "Send a Test Email" field to send yourself a test email.
2. Ask your customers to refer
Ask your customers to refer their friends and family to earn rewards. Your existing customers will automatically be sent an email or text message if enabled after a recent visit or you can share your unique referral URL.
Your referral page will allow your clients to send referral invites to their friends, track who has redeemed an offer, and share your link on their own social pages. Please note that a new client referral offer is considered claimed only if the new client books an appointment.
See what your existing customers will see when you ask them to join your referral program by entering your email address in the "Program info Test Email" field, your phone number in the "Program Info Test Text" field or click "View a Sample Email".
3. Reward the first referral
Create an offer to reward EXISTING customers that have sent a new customer your way for the first time.
- First Referral Reward: Give your existing customers a percentage off your services, a specific dollar amount off, or create a custom offer ( For example: Thanks for sending someone our way! Enjoy an extra 30 minutes on your next massage. ).
- See a Sample: Take a look at what your First Referral Offer will look like and enter your email address in the field to send yourself a test email.
4. Reward additional referrals
Want to keep the referrals rolling in? Reward your existing customers as they keep sending new customers your way.
- Offer additional rewards: Set this to "ON" if you'd like to continue rewarding your customers for referring your business to their friends. Turn this off if you'd only like to offer one time rewards.
- Reward after every: Here you'll be able to set how many additional customers you're existing customers will need to refer in order to receive another referral reward. In the image below, an existing customer will receive a referral reward after they've sent another 3 new customer to your business.
- Additional Referral Reward: Give existing customers that keep sending you new customers a percentage off your services, a specific dollar amount off, or create a custom offer ( For example: Thanks for the continued support! You've earned a free facial with your next massage. )
- See a Sample: Take a look at what your Additional Referral Offer will look like and enter your email address in the "Send a Test Email" field to send yourself a test email.
5. Click Save
You're all done! Once you've hit Save, your referral program will be active and emails promoting it will start going out within the next 24 hours to clients that have visited your business recently.
